St Johns Public Consultation

A public consultation has been launched by Global Mutual, the investor behind the exciting development plans for St Johns Shopping Centre. Their vision includes transforming former office spaces into approximately 287 high-quality student bedrooms. The development will offer a mix of spacious studios and cluster bedrooms, providing a new student community within the heart of the city.

In addition to meeting the growing demand for student accommodation, this development aims to support local retailers and increase footfall at St Johns. Furthermore, Global Mutual is committed to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions. Rather than demolishing existing structures, they plan to convert and repurpose the current office spaces, aligning with their eco-friendly approach to development.

Plans also include the transformation of the central courtyard of the shopping centre, currently used for car parking, into a private garden to be enjoyed by the new student community.
